Equestrian Traditions

This collection is part of the portfolio entitled  Equestrian traditions of Upper Egypt.

Rania has been traveling to Upper Egypt to photograph local horse breeds and their contribution to maintaining an equestrian  cultural heritage . She is fascinated by the physical abilities of these horses and the juxtaposition between tradition and modern lifestyle, all blending harmoniously in one scene. Horses play a key role in preserving the history and the collective memory of Upper Egyptians.
